The South Florida Bulls football team represents the University of South Florida. The Bulls began playing in 1997 and compete in the American Athletic Conference (The American) of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The team plays its home games at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. South Florida has participated in ten bowl games, with the Bulls garnering a record of 6–4. They also won East Division title of The American Football Championship Game in 2016. The Bulls played their home games at Tampa Stadium during their debut season in 1997 and the first two games of the 1998 season before moving to the newly completed Raymond James Stadium. The Bulls debuted in Raymond James Stadium on October 3, 1998, with a 45–6 win over The Citadel.
